LOADING BAY INFORMATION

Loading bay (from Liverpool Road)

The BDC have informed us that due to a change in layout of Liverpool Road all large exhibitor deliveries for events (via any vehicle bigger than a car) that enter the BDC via the loading bay must book a time-slot in order to deposit items. This means that you need to choose a time-slot for when your vehicle will be arriving with your stand items for both build on 8th March and breakdown after the exhibition ends on 9th March. There are 20 vehicle places per time-slot, and we will allocate these on a first-come first serve basis.

Please email events@hta.org.uk as soon as possible with one build time slot and one break-down time slot, the vehicle details inc. number plate registration, a contact name and telephone number (preferably a mobile). Note: this does not apply if you are bringing your items in car/s, and parking in Upper Street Car Park. The height limit for vehicles to park in Upper Street Car Park is 1.9m.

EXHIBITOR UPDATES

EXHIBITORS - BE VIGILANT!

Exhibitors are being targeted by companies claiming to be, or work with, event organisers. They use existing event branding and may appear genuine.  In the past this has included directories and hotel bookings but companies are now also claiming they can sell visitor data from events. This is not the case.

Be vigilant, read the small print, inform your exhibition, marketing and finance teams about the risk of scams and check with your organiser if you receive anything you are not expecting or are unsure of.

Organisations such as Event Fair, FairGuide.com/Construct Data Verlag, Expo Guide (Mexico) and International Fairs Directory (Portugal) are targeting exhibitors with their misleading directory services. Unsuspecting exhibitors who sign and return the form are then contracted into a three-year, non-retractable agreement, which could cost the exhibitor a significant amount of money.

For further information and advice please visit https://www.aeo.org.uk/expoguide or contact us at events@hta.org.uk

FLOOR COVERINGS

Floor coverings must not be laid or fixed directly to the BDC (Venue) carpet - Exhibitors/Contractors must ensure that adequate precautions are taken to protect the venue carpet from damage. If you are putting your own floor covering, you will be required to lay a wooden floor/platform before your floor covering can be used, this must be finished with a metal/plastic edging trim. If you do not have your own wooden floor/platform please email the GPE Events team will be able to put you in touch with the venue who can help you with this.
